Kevin, you got enough people here that like what you're doing to tell the GN purists (your choice phrase).

I'm not a purist...and I love what you are doing but is there any particular reason you didn't use a regular Regal with all the changes you're making?
I can appreciate the build, for sure, but sometimes I wish people would stop "ruining" some of the rarer cars and trucks (like Syclones and Typhoons too).
And when I say "ruin" I mean build bad ass cars, but make it harder for me to get one someday. lol

It’s a valid question, I bought the car fairly cheap, 12k, after I sold the motor/Tranny, rear ended and seats, I have 7900 into a solid, good paint rolling chassis. I couldn’t, find a black regal, with all the blacked out trim.. the bumpers, window trim etc, the nice gray interior, the nice black paint for that.. so in the end I ended up saving money..by the the way, I’m getting a Typhoon(in negations now) can’t say I won’t do the same to it.. I’m into the fun of cars, not keeping a museum piece, I want to enjoy and race them around

The nicer you start off with , the better the potential of the final result.

Made some great progress, car is back on frame for good, tubs are done, I undercoated the car with UPOL raptor liner(something Don showed me) put the DSE trap door in, mounted the battery, Estopp ebrake, gas tank and started running fuel and electrical lines.. Its keeping me busy while my Trans Am awaits its turn at paint, plus the Typhoon is here...

Looks great, progress is always good. No X pipe I see, curious why? I'm getting ready to finally redo my exhaust and want something similar to yours but thought an X pipe should be worked in?

Be a lot easier to skip that part though.
