Looks like your running manual brakes. What size bore master cylinder are you running? I’m looking to make a change to manual brakes and remove the hydroboost.

The 7/8 bore , just fired up the car, brakes are very sensitive hahah. Pretty close to the newer Gm hydrostops. I’m wondering how the brakes would perform without the hydro boost but I’ll force my foot to adapt.

Sounds good. You sure are making quick progress. My brakes are also very sensitive I don’t mind it but I seem to be having an issue with the rear brakes at low speed. Almost seems like the rears will lock up if I give mild push on the brake pedal. No sure yet what the issue may be. I’m thinking it may be the hydroboost. I decreased the pressure on the portioning valve all the way down and still have the same issue.

Now it’s time for more gears, I have 3.73 gears with the Th-350 . I am considering gear vendors overdrive , i know swapping to a 5 speed manual would be fun , any ideas ? I’m really open to anything , I know it’s a bummer to be cutting up my floor , I was planning on being at car shows but no car shows This year due to Corona. And didn’t know if I needed to be spending anymore $.

I just looked back and realized you did this build in slightly over a year.
With what looks like a new born.
Go ahead and do the 5 speed. You’ll probably be done by lunch.
Worlds Fastest LFX powered 1966 Chevelle, with a 3.6L/217 CI, 4 cam direct injected V6, 6 speed auto, full Hotchkis suspension, 4 wheel Wilwood discs, white w/red interior, cowl hood. 3260 lbs w/full tank.
