Looking for the "right" 5 3/4" LED headlight

I have a GM muscle car with 5 3/4" round headlights. I want to go LED, but it seems like all the options out there are too crazy looking. I want suttle, like a stock looking headlight. No crazy LED bars or halos or junk like that. I also would like one that's DOT approved, I don't want to be that a$$hole blinding everyone at night because the light isn't directed properly in the housing.

Any suggestions? I mean hell, does anyone make a totally stock looking 5 3/4" housing that will accept a modern LED bulb (high & low, I only have 2 headlights) but has the correct reflector design for an LED? I'd also like the LED to accept my stock harness 3 prong connector, even with an adapter is fine. I'm not wanting to modify my mint original harness to install different connectors.

      Thanks!

EDIT: Something just like these maybe? https://www.cjponyparts.com/headligh...-1969/p/HLA55/

I wonder if they will sell me just the 2 hi/low ones....

I used these on my suburban and they look great. Still a glass face. Plan on using them again on my Comet and Galaxie.

Funny you mention they are glass, never in my life would I consider ones that are plastic! It did't even occur to me that some might be plastic.

They look more modern compared to the Mustang ones I posted and they do not appear to be DOT. I'll ask on Amazon and see if the vendor responds...

A guy in the reviews says he is using 6000k LASFIT 9007 LED bulbs with them. Do you mean the housing/reflector isn't correct for an LED?

Those Mustang ones appear to be Autopal HL103 units:

Then just need to find an LED bulb and factory 3 pin GM connector adapter

      Here is your solution:

      https://www.dapperlighting.com/products/oe7

Up for pre-order at the moment, but looks like what you want. Just have to wait a little bit.

EDIT: Realized I was not paying attention and these are 7" units. I have to assume they will make 5.75" later. They do make 5.75" housings that can have LED bulbs in them though, and they are good quality.

Hopefully, they will make a 5 3/4 version. Literally, ALL of the 5 3/4 housings on their website look like stupid alien eyes, absolutely terrible lol

Unfortunately, that is the price to be paid for having nice projector lights. Hard to make them look like a stock halogen housing.

      I just ordered these:

      https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GUPLFMQ

      https://www.lasfit.com/products/ls-p...eadlight-bulbs

I look forward to getting them installed, aimed, and test drive. I drive my car about 10K miles a year and about 75% of that is at dusk/night.

The problem is the reflector may or may not be designed or have the properly necessities for LED lighting , creating the proper reflection etc.

Correct, hence why I posted here. But since a better alternative has not been suggested, I pulled the trigger on these based on 79bird's recommendation.

From what I can tell, these specific Lasfit LED 9007 bulbs are made just for working in reflector housings and provide the proper cut-off.

Size: 154.7 KBI might be a little late to the party but I went with the Truck-Lite 27270C (for my first gen Camaro). Not sure what they offer in a 5 3/4" but I can tell you I love mine. The look is subtle. The light is VERY bright. The install was super easy with no ballasts and they blend perfectly w/o all them busyness.

I've been in contact with dapper lighting , seems they are working on a 5.75 led headlight but ,are having a slight issue with finding a proper glass lens . ??? . Anyways the woman I was dealing with was informed that there is a small amount of us interested on here and the other site. She will notify me when they're available

Delta has a Xenon kit with e-code cutoffs and can be upgraded to LED bulbs. I have a halo style that looks OEM when off, full glass etc. I did a ton of research from cibie stuff to china stuff to redline lumitronix etc. I am happy with the period correct look when off and a good pattern when on. Speedway motors has them and also has a video explaining the options.

I got them installed today. No modifications needed to the headlight buckets. The LEDs have very specific alignment notches that correspond to the housings. The wire clears the plastic housing/clamp, and the LEDs come apart to fit everything together perfectly. The LEDs end up perfectly horizontal and when turned on, the pattern is just as it should be. Props to Lasfit for making what they say, an LED that works perfectly into a 9007 housing that works with the relfector as it should.

Now, these housings still look too sci-fi for my old school tastes. I think once a company comes out with a housing/lens that looks more stock-ish from back in the day, exactly like the Dapper lighting 7", I'll throw my money at them on the spot.
