Standalone ECUs - Best Units/Best Value?

Hey guys. Looking to redo wiring from scratch witha twin turbo setup. What standalone ecu have you guys used? Motec I’ve heard is great but not super user friendly and obviously expensive. For those who have a standalone, what features are most useful?

I've got a Megasquirt MS3, it's the second standalone I've used and it's "alright" in my book. Car runs and drives quite well, which is what matters most I suppose. I would like a little more refined user interface, TunerStudio functions just fine, but it's clunky. I would use a Megasquirt again, but it wouldn't be my first choice necessarily. I think Link offers some nice products, ECUMaster looks good but I have other reservations there.

I’m hearing a lot of good things about ecumaster black. Seems like unbeatable value.

I have been using the Holley Dominator in my Cougar since 2015. Works awesome. You can download the software on the Holley website and check it out. Tons of built in features and almost unlimited capability.

It would be helpful to know what engine the OP plans to use.

Big money buy what you want but for less than $500 you can get started with Megaquirt AND if you buy Jimstim you can diagnose and repair your own system. Also they can be linked to Racepak dash too.
