LQ4, LQ9,LS2,3,6,7 Realistic builds 500 rear wheel HP

So I know all of these motors have been done to death on this site but looking to start a thread on realistic options for finding building and installing these motors.

If you list a motor and modes let’s shoot for 500hp to the rear wheels. Not sure this is the way to do it but here is an example of format.

      LQ4

      1. Junk yard pick. $
      2. Machine work necessary and if so $
      3. Upgrades to get to HP numbers and cost. (Naturally aspirated no turbos supercharger or nitrous).
      4. Ease of installation in Camaro and cost of needed parts.
      5. Any comments good bad or indifferent including cars or trucks they would come out of and other issues or obstacles to over come.
      6. Total projected cost to build

A recipe thread. I like it.
I don't have a recipe of my own though. At least not yet.

Similar to above but started with a L92 instead of a LS3.

Hey guys appreciate the responses but looking for a little more depth and detail about your builds. So if you got a motor out of a wrecked car what did it cost you? What did you get for selling of parts? What did New parts and add one run? Any motor work you needed to do or did you use the bottom end as is? And what was the final cost? I’m sure a lot of people would love to build these motors but know exactly what they are gonna run into cost wise

Bringing back an old thread here, but I’d appreciate an overview with cost too. Thanks

I grabbed an 08 LS7 out or a wrecked vette done up by the group at Late Model Racecraft with their 630hp slayer package.
29000 miles for 8200 delivered with ECM, clutch pressure plate and flywheel.
No wiring harness. Their Dyno shows 574 HP a the wheels on this monster. I feel like thats a pretty good deal????

To clarify it has the LMR CNC heads and their custom can grind along with stock lower end LS7. Stock intake on it.
