TKO 600 not smooth between 1st and 2nd

Guys,
I have installed a TKO 600 behind an LS3 in a 67 Corvette with custom frame. I have a hydraulic TO bearing (Tilton)....after bleeding the system several times, it goes into all gears fine, but when driving, its clunky between 1st and 2nd. I only have 18 miles on the car and trans....is it likely this will go away as the thing breaks in? By clunky I mean that when moving from 1st to 2nd, I sorta half to pause during the shift or it will seem as if it would have to be pulled hard into gear....I have clutch stop set and it all seems to go through gears well and reverse, except 1 - 2....thoughts? I did align the bell housing before installation.
