      Touchy Brakes

The easiest way for me to describe my brake pedal is that it's not progressive. 1st third is free play, 2nd third the brakes lightly engage, right when i get to last third the brakes grab hard. I have to gingerly press my brake to bring car to a stop. Car is a 1968 Camaro with a mild Cam.

      My set up:

I have new 6 piston wilwoods up front. Stock drums in rear.

      3/16 lines

      MC ACdelco 18m794

I have a wilwood prop valve

      9inch dual Master

And a wilwood residual pres valve for rear 10lbs.

I dont believe there's any air in lines. Any help would be appreciated

Booster to master pushrod clearance to large.

      Rear drums not adjusted properly.

Thanks I will check both of those

I have the rear drums adjusted so that I can turn the tire once if I spin it by hand. Should I back off on that.

It sounds like your drums are way out.

When I adjust drums I remove both tires. I then remove one drum and adjust the other side, repeat for the opposite side. The idea being that we want to get as tight as we can with the adjustment. Even with new parts, the drums aren't usually round or the shoes are arced incorrectly and you will hear slight drag at maybe just one point. Keep going. When you start to feel the drag you are pretty much there.

Again, if all new parts, you may have to repeat this process until the shoes wear to the correct shape.

OP, I have the exact same setup and issue that you have. Did you resolve your issue?

      If you did, please post!
      Thanks
