      4 link bracket install

We are working on the frame, and getting ready to install the IFS and the 4 link brackets. I posted on a sweptline forum, specific to these type of trucks, and I was told if I weld the brackets on, Ill warp the rearend. So far we have just been laying it to the frame. Its old and thick and we havent seen any adverse effects. We did start out easy, but it seems to take the heat well. We know to do the 4-link brackets the technique will be different. We had discussed it and decided to tack and re-measure, then weld small areas, and let it cool. I have seen several online videos (for better or worse) and most dont even disassemble the axle. The axle is a chrysler 8-3/4.

What do you guys think? Take it somewhere and spend the money for cautions sake, or just do it but be gentle? It seems to be 50/50 when I search google.
