5th gen console in first gen shifter question
I can get a nice 5th gen console with or without shifter for a good price ... my question is mostly what I have seen are on manual cars. What are some shifter options for this console for a 700r4. I have the b&m megashifter in there now
1969 camaro ss 372,hotchkis tvs, comp cams 268xe, world products heads, zz4 intake, 670 holley, msd setup eagle alloy 212's, autometer ultra lites......99 console with megashifter, ls1 brakes and a soon to be 700r-4

You might be able to slot out the original piece in the center so the Megashifter can go through but I did a 5th gen console into a 69 Camaro with a horseshoe shifter and I could not get the lens lined up to show the correct gear. Park was about it. I'm doing one into a 68 Camaro and it has a Lokar shifter so that one should be easier to stick through the original piece. The guy is using the Dakota Digital shift indicator interface so I'm going to put LED's in the 5th gen console PRNDL indicators so he can see what gear he is in. I'll post pics once it's done.
