800 Mile test drive on new parts

I had some fun and took a bit of gamble on Saturday. I recently installed a Fi-tech 400HP TBI fuel injection system, Magnaflow 2.5 inch exhaust and a Hotchkis TVS suspension on my 1973 Camaro. I decided to give it a true road test. My Camaro was in Denver CO where I use to live, so I drove it to Dallas TX where i live now. A little less than 800 miles in 12 hours. Everything worked great. Handling was amazing, Fuel injection was flawless (averaged about 16 mpg) and the exhaust sounds perfect.

Nice. What trans/gear ratio for that mileage?

It has the stock Turbo hydromatic 400 transmission in it. Im not sure what the gear ratios are, but it was running around 3100 rpm at 80 mph. The engine is a completely stock 350 as well, except the Doug headers and Fi-tech TBI. It was a really well maintained 54K mile car when I bought it.

Do you have to pay for the whole weekend/show to run the autox? I'd like to just show up for the autox only.

Im not sure if you have to pay for the whole weekend. Although i will likely only go on Saturday, I paid the $60 for the weekend just to run the autox and support the organization because i have been going to Goodguys for years and really enjoy the shows. I think there is a Sunday only option called all American Sunday and I think that is $35. I know the autox will be open because they are having a shootout in the afternoon.
