Move shifter closer TKO600

Hi ,

I got a TKO 600 for my 70cougar.
While doing fitment i find it too far to reach the shifter.
What options are available to move the shifter back so its closer to me?

Anyone did some self fabrication on this?

Yes. There is an offset for the TKO500 (it's the same) for Mustangs that moves the shifter over about 5/8" and back or forward 2". I needed a little more for the 5th gen Camaro console I'm installing so I just made another one. It's just a piece of flat stock with two threaded holes to bolt the shift handle to and two clearance holes to bolt to the transmission shifter mount.

What you just said was what i was thinking of making...Just have a strong steel plate and attach it to the transmission shifter...
You could probably make it a bit longer if the piece of metal is strong enough it seems?
