      Battery size, cca

Sorry if this topic has been beat to death already, but my search results didn’t come up with much. Question is, what size battery do I need, as in how much phca or cca? Plan is trunk mounted odyssey, powering a LS3.

I was looking at the pc1500 (1500phca/850cca)? Those are 50 lbs, but to save a few pounds the battery power starts to drop off a lot. I’m more concerned about proper sizing than I am about the weight, but don’t want to drag around extra weight unnecessarily. Thanks.

I run the red top optima's and they have worked well. -30 last week and my LS swapped Wrangler started just fine.

Thanks for the input. Looks like an optima red top 34 is 38 pounds with 800 cca. That would put it right in between an odyssey pc1230 and pc1500, minus a few pounds for the optima.
