      Re-hooping B-Forged Wheels

Looking for some advice on re-hooping (inner and outer) my B-Forged 3-piece wheels. I want to change the backspace, etc... I called B-Forged (Billet Specialties) and was quoted $450ish per wheel. Ouch! Is there a good place to buy the inner and outer pieces to do this myself.... and is it a good idea to do this yourself? Maybe some balancing issues?? Looking for some advice/direction. Thanks in advance.

Did you ask about buying just hoops?

I don't think $450 is unreasonable for for both inner and outer hoops, installed.

Thanks Donny, You are probably right about the $450...... I would most likely just buy the new inner / outer hoops and do it myself. I would imagine that the "run-out" needs to be spot on, or there might be issues??
      I appreciate your input!

I imagine the hoops go for $75 to 150 per, inner being most expensive. You can definitely do it yourself.
      Big dreams, small pockets....

From what I have seen the hoops are expensive, around $175 each.

.....and that hoop price appears to be unfinished. The hassle of shipping would be enough to make me do it myself......unless I had the original boxes.

I am rehooping my front forgelines and polished outer hoops were $180 each and $15 to ship from eBay. They haven’t arrived yet so not sure on the quality. I’ll report back when I get them

I was told there are only a few companies that make the inner and outer hoops. These are B-Forged wheels, I may ask them if they will sell the "parts" outright. I'm close enough to Chicago that I could drive down and pick them up.

Doing a little more research..... Billet Specialties (B-Forged) will not sell the wheel barrels or lips due to "insurance" reasons. Looking on the internet there are several place that sell the parts....some with not so good reviews. Anyone here re-hoop their own three-piece wheels, if so, where did you buy the barrels / lips?? Would prefer to get American made parts...I was again told there only 2-3 manufacturers of these??

Still looking for some input on a company that sells just the hoops for 3-piece wheels. B-Forged wants $325/ each for the inner and outer + labor to assemble. At that cost, I might just buy new wheels??? Has anyone ordered the hoops and "re-hooped" their wheels? I need to change the back-space....I found a few places on line, but none have a phone number you can call to talk to anyone :(

      Any input would be great!
