LT4 Holley 302-20 oil pan oil cooler adapter how to guide.

If your using the LT4/LT1 oil pan and need to run an oil cooler it is easy to do. Besides the AN fittings and hose, you need the Earl's 1129 diverter adapter.

In this picture you'll see the stock Holley flow through billet cap.

There are 2 sensor inputs if you decide to use them.

When done you will need the correct AN fittings to connect to your oil cooler. More to come.

Had a few hours yesterday evening and decided to start fitting a few of the easier patch panels. I got the drivers side cowl panels fitted and the lower front fender mount area that was rusted through. It is nice having had the car baked and all the rust removed. Sure speeds this process up.

You don't have any pictures in your build thread. I need to hear more about your build. Is it running yet?

It is not running yet. Bolting things on for the last time. Just firewall jammed. But it's making a lot of progress now and getting exciting. TCI pro tour clip. TCI torque arm with Currie 9" rear. TMI interior started. Just decided to go with flush glass and paint and shorten/tuck the bumpers.

What did you do for breaks? What TMI interior? The firewall is a bit agonizing. Where did you mount the huge ECU box, and trans control box?

I got 12" Wilwood set along with currie rear and ididit steering all from TCI.
Sport R interior with red stitching from TMI. The console is the hard part. I want the matching console
But with the transmission tunnel now 40% larger I will probably have to get one made. TCI products are great but they don't even offer dimensions of their consoles and have been unhelpful and indifferent when talking to them. Glad I did the smooth firewall. I didn't get the connect and cruise. Long story with a great buy. But the LT4 is a new crate motor. The wiring harness should be here in a couple of weeks and ECU placement will be figured out

So I take it that with the TCI front clip the transmission is sitting higher than with the SPEC chassis I'm using. 40% seems like a lot. If you need dimensions on the console try calling Canada Seat Skins USA Store. They seem to be very helpful and are a big TMI dealer I think.

If you didn't get the Connect and Cruise package that does create a few challenges. ECU placement is the tricky part.

Put the B&M transmission dipstick on today. Took about 3 minutes... lol it is a flexible SS line, so mounting location will be easier.

So since the firewall was so banged up I decided to just replace it instead of trying to patch it. Got the new AMD panel with heater core delete. Test fitting it to the chassis there are a few spots that rub. All easy to fab and fit. This car will have no corners cut and no expense spared to make it perfect.

The tunnel needing to be made larger than you had to would actually indicate my car body is sitting lower
Than yours I guess. After the vintage air was put low behind the dash we think we still have room for the ECU either behind the dash or under the custom console that will be made

Do you know what your body clearance will be from the ground? My engine and transmission are sitting very low in the car. I think from the ground to the frame I end up around 5" and the transmission pan is around 4"-5" ground clearance.with the Holley 302-20 oil pan I only have about 1/2" clearance from the rack and pinion unit and cross support. I think I will only need to adjust the tunnel up about 3/4" to clear everything with room to spare. Fingers crossed....
