latest and greatest from GM is that there will be a new trans fluid to correct the issue in the first quarter of 2019. They say the current fluid allows moisture to enter somehow through humidity and this is what is causing the issue now haha. My brother has an 8 speed in his silverado and has done everything but a custom TCM tune. Its been to the dealer a few times for a flush, trans tune and another flush. GM also stopped changing the torque converters too. My other brother has a SS with the 8 speed and it has no problems.

Your car should turn out awesome! I have a downgraded budget friendly similar project I'm working on if you want to check it out, link below. I may have an answer for you too if you have any questions. https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...en-v-swap.html

These are cool. Have you look at twisted machine paddles? I ended up using the twisted machine paddle with little hookup on Speartech wiring harness.

So I got the body back from Carolina Chem Strip. They turned it around way faster than they originally told me. With that said, overall the body is in good shape. However I did find a few surprises that are going to take a significant amount of extra time to fix.

Both rear 1/4 panels had been hack welded on and heavy Bondo at one time. I think the best and fastest way to fix it would be to just replace them entirely and do it right. What sucks is there's no rust just really badly done. since I'm replacing the rear wheel tubs to widen them and the rear trunk floor might as well just do it.
