      FAST 90mm throttle body

Anyone using the FAST 90mm throttle body? Does anyone know how much air this throttle body flows? I'm looking to use this on a custom application, and was wondering if this throttle body was sufficient enough to feed 700 horsepower or more, naturally aspirated.
      Thanks,
      John

90mm is huge. It will work fine for 700HP. Holley now also makes some really nice 80mm and 90mm throttle bodies with the same LS2 style 4 bolt pattern.

You might want to take a look at the Nick Williams 90MM TB. It seems some people are having trouble with the FAST units, and most are running these instead. I think it's cheaper in price, as well.

You won't find any info on the Holley website. It's too new, but I know they are making them. What do you want to know?

since you said custom application i didnt bother to say anything earlier. what i was going to say is make sure the intake the TB is attached to will support the amount of air you need. if your talking LSx motor your also going to need the FAST intake. the LS6 will be choking the motor at the 700hp NA mark.

I'm looking to fuel inject GM's 572. I've been talking to Hogans about the intake and they say its no problem. They said the one Chip Foose is using on the Camaro is TB from a Cobra, and is oval in design, which is nice because its a little shorter in height. The only problem is that there is no provision for an IAC, just A TPS.
So I've been on a hunt for a GM throttle body that has the provision for a TPS and an IAC. I spoke to the guys at FAST and they told me it should be sufficient. I also talked to Wheel 2 Wheel, Westech, and a few other well known shops. They said it should do. FAST also told me that Wilson Manifolds is who makes there TB's for them. I'm going to call them tomorrow since I've found on there site they make a 95MM TB also.
Arizona Speed and Marine also make a pretty nice one, and its oval too:
      http://store1.yimg.com/I/azspeed_1871_7918031

Who would of thought picking a TB would be so difficult. I want it to be able to flow enough air and not be a restriction. Its tough finding CFM ratings on these TB's. I was told I'd need at 1200CFM to be on the safe side. That is to feed this motor at 6000RPM at 100% VE. According to Accufabs website there 90MM flows 1369CFM, the one from Arizona Speed and Marine flows 1300CFM and the 95MM from WIlson Manifolds flows 1450CFM. So i should be safe with any one of them. Hogans said that they can build the intake to fit any TB. Well thats all I got for now, let me know what you think!

TPiS makes an oval TB for the LS1/6 have you checked into that? supposedly it works very well. however it hit the market at the same time as the FAST stuff and the FAST stuff was hyped way better.

Early FAST units had a problem sticking.. Ive heard it's been fixed but people still prefer the Nick Williams units.
