67 Firebird Convertible tack strip bolts

      Hi, all.
There a fastener that I`m looking for. Its for a 67firebird convertible.
The convertible tackstrip mounting holes are a little wornout.
I need oversized bolts for the tackstrip now.
Very hard to find overhere in the Netherlands.

      The standard size boltis a 14x 1 1/2 7/16hex head.
Has anyone tackled this challenge? Anyplace where I can find oversized bolts would be greatly appreciated
      Best,
      Dan

      Three options.
1). You can attempt to close the holes a bit. They tend to become pulled open after several uses.
2). Look for a slightly larger diameter Lag bolt. Basically the same as the originals.
3). You can employ the use of a Nutsert. What's a Nutsert ? Think of it as an internally threaded rivet. It installs like any standard rivet but instead of metal post that's snapped off. Your left with a threaded center. They are available in multiple Machine thread sizes. 6/32 thru 5/16.

      Thank you.
      Option 1 is in progress.
Option 2 would be the easiest and my prefferance BUT overhere in Europe I havent been able to find a oversizes bolt. The max diameter is the 1/4 inch diameter bolt that is standard.
Is it easy to find anything in the US?
Option 3, thats what I`ll do if there is no luck with 1 or 2...
