      1970 Firebird running project

      10,000.00
Since it seems that I will never get a decent shop to finish the car correctly and I am tire of dealing with body shops, I am listing my car for sale.
Car has spent a year in a shop and was left outside once it was painted, but not completely assembled. Has new roof and quarter sections that where replaced due to being pitted, fresh torch red paint. Is missing front nose and trim pieces since I had to pick up the car once the problems started again with the body shop and their lack of wanting to finish the car. Car runs and drives. 432-425-6278

Car has Global West upper and lower arms with coil-overs
      Moser limited slip and axles
C5 corvette disk brakes front and rear
      Wilwood. Master cylinder
      Every suspension piece is new
Ambit 18x9.5 wheels with 275 front and 285 rear
All the suspension and brake work was done any Hills Hot Rods.
I have more in parts invested in this car than the current asking price.
The 400 is solid and starts right up.

The pieces are missing as in they are not with the car or missing as in they are with the car and did not get painted?

Any damage from sitting out side for a year(looks like some glass may not be installed)?
The difference between an environmentalist and a developer is that a developer wants to build a house in the woods, an environmentalist already has one.

All the glass is installed, car was painted and then sat inside for about 4 months after paint. Then it sat outside on the side of the shop for a month, that's when I decided to pick it up. I called the shop several times and didn't get a response, so I got it towed to my house, the shop contacted me by text later to find out why I had taken the car. I told them to keep what ever they had, but I wouldn't give them another cent...I had already paid 50% and they could keep the parts or perhaps in a year( the same amount of time they have played me) we could possibly discuss what is owed. I wouldn't charge them for anything missing until then. They never replied to my last text, since it seems they don't want to actually have a conversation with a paying customer...

Wow. I can't believe all the trouble you've had with this Firebird. Stories like this are why I learned to weld and paint 20 years ago. I couldn't get an honest 'best guess', let alone a real estimate from the shops around here. Good luck with the sale. I remember the first ad thinking what a good looking car. If I hadn't just picked up a 69 Corvette, I'd be bringing the trailer to Texas...and at the asking price.

Thanks, its been a learning experience. I should have just done everything myself, I'm almost certain I would have done a better job in a years time.

Looks like a solid car for the price. I bet this won't last long. BTW, Torch red is a great color.

What body shop screwed you? I'm in Odessa also. I really hope it wasn't Hill's. If I wasn't so damn house poor, I'd love to have it.

Damn it. If I would've seen this when I was still looking I would've bought this. Good luck with the sale bud!
