what types of plastics are used in Car interiors? Or how do I figure it out?

Particularly the gauge cluster bezel on a 71 camaro? I've got one I want to repair and modify and unsure what kind of plastic it is...I don't think it's abs plastic. It's the dash piece the windshield wiper switch, cigarette lighter, and headlight switch mount into and surrounds the gauges.

My goal is to figure out the material and order some matching plastic and some sort of glue that will meld the pieces together...I figure that would make the strongest repair

I want to repair the broke corners, blank out the center, and smooth and paint to contrast my interior.
