      Ac belt slip help !?

      Hey guys.

      71 LSA
      700hp

      Vintage air
      kwik performance tensioner.

The pullys for my car are all
      4 rib.

      The ac pully by kwik
who I guess has a contract
      w/ vintage air
      is a 6 rib...

      so...

under hard throttle i throw my
      belt off.

I called kwik. Guy seemed eager
      to help...
said couple guys have and this issue..
said look into a shorter belt
      or a gm stretchy belt...
      best he can do...
      wtf...

what other options do I have?

gotta have ac and I obv want
to go up the road sideways...

Gates has a tool to check pulley alignment. Sounds like they are off. I would swap it out for a cast Holley mount. Mounts made of flat plate can easily flex under load. Not a fan....

You have a four rib belt on your supercharger? That’s quite small imho...

No. It’s not an alignment issue...

I’m not understanding why my ac pully
Is 6 rib but the connecting pully is 4.

There’s no guide on the ac pull and the 4rib belt
Jumps or falls off the edge of the pully.

Could it possibly be throwing the belt when you let off the throttle?

How do you know it is not an alignment issue? Lots of four rib belts running on 6 rib compressor pulleys without issue. It is the most common setup....

      I live in Alabama and I don't have AC...You're in Canada...YOu need AC when it is 70 degrees? I know...not helpful...Carry on...

My bets are on a pullet misalignment.

Ok fair. It could be misalignment..

The way I was lead to believe was
Bc of the 6 rib to 4rib plus the
      Power of the set up....

      I will look into that.
Took is pricy. Is it common to
      Rent these?

      Thx guys

Buy the tool and then sell it on eBay when you are done.
