      1968 Camaro Resto-mod LS6/6 speed/etc.

      Hey PT,

Now that my car is nearing the completion of my restoration, I'm trying to put a value on it for insurance purposes. But I feel that the prices of the first gen cars are all over the place. In thinking about the insurance values for my car, I was also hoping that I could get a real world value on my car. For those that aren't familiar with my car, the complete build is located here:

      https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/...-Penny-Pincher

The basic summary of the car is that I took the car down to the bare shell, and proceeded with a full frame off rotisserie restoration. I replaced any and all rusted metal with new reproduction panels. It has new floor pans, rockers, quarter panels, trunk pan, outer wheel well, doors, fenders, hood, core support, header and valance panel. The car is originally an I6 auto car with standard grill. During the restoration I decided to do a full RS conversion with RS tail panel and fender conversion. The car was sealed in epoxy and shot with PPG Torch Red paint from a 2004 Corvette. The car specs are below:

      Engine:
1999 LS1 bottom end (70k Miles) with LS6 top end
ARP head, flywheel, pressure plate, balancer bolts
LS2 cam with front cam conversion
      CAI with 85MM MAF
      LS6 Valley cover
1 3/4" Shorty Stainless headers with V-bands added
Full 3" exhaust with Doug's X-pipe kit and super 40 mufflers with dump. Currently no tail pipes currently
      Revised Holley engine mounts
      Holley 302-3 oil pan
4th Gen Camaro engine accessories spaced to truck in order to work with custom Dirty Dingo low mount Sanden SD7B10 (planning ahead for Vintage Air)

      Transmission:
      1998 T56 6 Speed
      New LS7 clutch kit
New Release bearing with speed bleed
      Pro 5.0 shifter
      4th Gen Tick Master Cylinder

      Rear:
Date Code correct 1968 12 bolt housing
      All new Timken Bearings
Yukon Duragrip w/ 4.11 Richmond gears
      LS1 rear disk brake swap

      Brakes/Suspension:
Kore3 C5 conversion brackets and braided hoses
13.4" Z51 rotors and Black Powder Coated C5 Calipers
12" rear LS1 Disks with integral parking brake
      Full NiCopp 3/16" brake lines
      Wilwood adjustable proportional valve combo
8" Right Stuff brake booster with 1" bore master
12.5:1 ratio steering box with Metric Fittings (Jeep Grand Cherokee)
Pro-Touring F-body Solid aluminum body bushings
      DSE 2" front drop springs
      Hotckis 2" rear drop springs
      4 corner Hotckis shocks
18" Staggered BMW M-Parallel Wheels 8" front and 9.5" rear

      Miscellaneous:
Dakota Digital VHX gauges. Black face with White pointers
ACC Aluminum LS radiator with integral fan shroud
Frame notched for low mount accessories
      Fiberglass front Fenders
Brand new front and rear glass

Currently the car is mostly complete minus the interior. The car runs/drives/stops fantastic for being just put together. A few minor tweaks such as a front alignment and some minor tuning and it will be ready to drive anywhere. My plan is to have the interior be mostly stock with a few modern touches like the VHX gauges and possibly integrating a Double Din stereo down low in the console. I'm sure there

Here are some pictures of it how it sits currently:

Let me know what you all think.

      Thanks,
      Ryan

Ryan, your Camaro and mine are similar in many aspects; We still need to complete body and paint, but have done full aftermarket suspension. I have mine insured with Grundy with an agreed upon value of 35K and included a rider that we would do additional work to the car during coverage period that would increase value. The company was very easy to deal with, offers flexibility in use of the car, and the rates were very fair. Matt

Thanks btmatt! I should have mentioned that I currently have my insurance through Condon and Skelly. They have been great to work with over the years. I put insurance on it last year before paint with an agreed value of $20k, with the understanding that it will be completed in the near future. Now that it's pretty close to being finished I wanted to get a ballpark of what it would be worth for insurance, as well as just outright if I were to sell. NOT SELLING, but want to know what it's worth realistically.
