      Vintage Wheel Works....out of business???

Been chasing Vintage Wheel Works for some information.....

Was communicating with someone called Eli and I am no longer getting any responses from him and the standard "info@vintagewheelworks" is getting a bounce-back.

I'll admit, my question for them was possibly a little annoying, so thought they were maybe just ignoring me.

Now maybe I am overthinking things.....but I was doing some research on VWW suppliers to chase up what I wanted and I notice this come up in my search....

      http://www.aagauction.com/wp-content...2018-09-25.pdf

Am I wrong or does it look like VWW is out of business??? Normally selling company IP is a baaaaaaad sign.

      Anyone heard anything?

Gutted if they are.....had my heart set on some 18" V45's.

I sent some emails requesting quotes from stockists, so see what happens, just wondering if anyone else heard anything.

      I got a bad feeling..... : (

I called them today. They're just farming out some of their machine work.

No need to panic. Everybody take a deep breath

I hope people can pick up the phone and call and not listen to internet rumors and jumping to conclusions.

Not sure you read the complete lot of posts.

Auctioning of IP and stock is NOT a rumor.

Calls were also made by others.

I also tried again and got nothing.

I'll wait till a representative of VWW jumps online to squash the forum topic. I sincerely hope they do. I like their wheels.

I see some info here.... Looks like there was an auction. If you click in the listing it shows machinery and one shows wheels...

From one of the auction links:

{ Group of lots: 112, 113 } Intellectual Properties of “Vintage Wheel Works and PS Engineering”. Including Web Sites, Customer Lists, Vender Lists, Copyrighted Materials, Marketing Brochures, Approx 15-Sets of Rim Casting Dies (with Duplicates), 16-Plate Molds, Blueprints

That's out of business. When you sell off your copyright, your intellectual property, etc, you are closing the doors.

      That's what I have been saying.....total fire-sale.

Unless someone bought enough of the company and it's IP at auction......then it does not look good unfortunately.

Hopefully someone did buy-in to the idea and is going to try and hold the company together......hopefully.

I would support them with a purchase if that was the case.....not sure we will see it happen though.

      Guys - good news.....I think.

I tried a different route to contact VWW and managed to get a response from a guy called Rusty.

He suggested Eli is taking some leave. I provided the links to the forum and suggested he put out an official statement on what was going on.

      Hopefully he does so.

FYI - contact details I was provided:

There is nothing to be alarmed about. Both Vintage Wheel Works and PS Engineering are doing just fine. We sold off some older equipment and moved across the parking lot. We are on the market, and will likely merge with another wheel company. In the meantime, all orders are being processed as usual.
