Anyone ever hear 8 into 1 headers in person?

Recently heard several video's of 8 into 1 headers , which gives a more flat plane crank Ferrari type sound. I'm considering this as a future ls engine project just for sound reasons. Complexity & packaging obviously are the biggest reasons why you don't see more of these or 180 degree headers. It would take a bit of vehicle modifying on my el camino to make room for such a monster of a collector & piping. Pretty much would have to go up front, as in Tanner Faust's vw drift car seen in google link.
I'm pretty sure the exhaust pipes have to be placed in firing order either left or right for it to have the sound effect wanted.
Anyone have any knowledge of this setup or hear one in person?
