1961 Impala Bubble Top SS, LSA frame off show car.

Award-winning paint, custom leather interior, four-wheel disc brakes, automatic transmission, and a modern all aluminum 6.2-liter supercharged V8 under the hood – this 1961 Chevrolet Impala is a 118 vin (real super sport) with stunning one-of-a-kind, that's so unique and powerful that it cannot escape the spotlight.
You already know why the 1961 Impala is such a cool ride. It was the only year of this iconic third generation where the coupe included the highly stylized bubble top design. That skinny c-pillar and wraparound rear window is truly spectacular. And now take a look at it in this full custom that rebuilt this classic to have from better precision gaps than even the Los Angles factory could have made. Next comes the kind of white paint that you can understand how pristine and pure. The closer you get, the more of the luster and shine you pick up, this magnificent paint job was carried to the underside of the car as well as right side up, a complete frame off – there was some serious investment in getting it looking this amazing. But more than just paint, this coupe makes a striking impression with how the brightwork has a very modern monochromatic effect. Up front the wrap around bumper and grille shine even brighter thanks to the compete clear lens package. On the side, not only does the full-length sweeping "spear" trim have a black accent color, but also the windows are tinted so the bright trim around the dark glass gives the whole profile a very cool uniform appearance. In the rear is one of the most intricate forms ever put to sheetmetal. The dipping "V" is something so daring you could only get it in '61. The final step to making this a truly distinguished coupe is taking the iconic elements like the Eddie motorsport billet hood hinges, all rear and back up light led, front halo headlights, tilt steering, gunsight fender ornaments and dual aerials and combining them with custom pieces like the side exhaust and Budnick wheels that staggered for an aggressive stance.
Open the door to a full custom interior. The leather seats pay tribute to some of the best materials GM utilized in the 60s, but these are far softer and more supportive than anything from the factory. When you sit down and close the door, the custom feel consumes you. The door panels match the unique seats; the comfortable center console includes cup holders and a Lokar shifter; and in front of you is a chrome wheel with carbon fiber that matches accents throughout the interior. While you get your joy from watching the full custom gauge package, your passengers will enjoy ice-cold air conditioning and a touchscreen AM/FM/CD/XM stereo system that also includes inputs for modern music players, Bluetooth integration, and satellite navigation with high end amplifiers, speakers and subwoofer all hidden behind a custom trunk enclosure.
As much as you'll love showing off the interior and exterior, it's the motor that will really draw all the crowds. Under the hood is the 6.2-liter supercharged LSA engine that made the Cadillac CTS-V famous. The engine and transmission were bought direct;y from GM as their connect and cruise kit, and then added headers and a performance air intake system. Heads and supercharger ported and polished. Also added bigger cam, springs. Now professionally tuned at 680 hp.The level of professional installation with the high-quality paint on the fenders and firewall make the monster motor look neat and clean. This level of quality goes well beyond the engine bay. You'll see in the undercarriage photos with the painted chassis and underside. Also, this is where you'll spot plenty of other upgrades such as the 4L80E automatic overdrive transmission, new A-arm front suspension, air ride shockwave components, Ford 9inch with Positraction rear end, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with 6 piston calipers upfront and 4 piston for the rear. Add in Continental ZR rated tires, and you'll soon realize this classic Chevy outperforms many of the new ones.
With so much to go over, there's not enough space to list this bumper-to-bumper custom build. But we've got all the info, including the national awards won and the restoration receipts.

      Wow! That is sweet!

      Tri-tip, beef?
      Are you buying lunch?
If it is beef, we raise all our own pasture fed cattle and hogs, so I would pass on beef.
