      9" Dual Diaphragm Booster Problem

I picked up a 9" Dual Diaphragm Booster from Tuff Stuff (2229NB). This is supposed to be the same as the DSE.

I was mating it to my 1" Wilwood and was measuring the Booster to MC pushrod with this:

I noticed that I needed to shorten the pushrod on the booster and pulled the rod noticing that it isn't adjustable. That's when I had a moment and lost my mind. This little pushrod and rubber disc got lost in the booster. After a while of fishing I recovered them.

Question 1, where does all this stuff go? I can't find any instructions.

Question 2, without using a feeler gauge yet, I'm guessing I need to shorten this pushrod about 0.120". My problem is this isn't adjustable. Should I run an MC shim?

My car kicked my ass today....
