      Bowler All-In-One Wrong Speed

I have a T56 Magnum and I’m using the Bowler All-In-One to drive my speedometer. I believe I have everything in the app setup correctly, but the app is showing the speed jumping from 0 to 40 to 100 to 170 (the values are all over the place, those are just examples) as soon as the car starts rolling. I’ve set the tire diameter and rear gear. It’s set to 17 ppr. There’s nothing else to adjust that would affect the speed in the Bowler app.

Does anyone have any experience with the Bowler All-In-One?

I’m sure Craig at Bowler will get me sorted out on Monday, but it sure would be nice to get this fixed today.

Are you using the right output? I think it has two speedometer outputs.

My ECM can be adjusted to handle either input, but this is showing up on the All-In-One app. So the crazy speed fluctuations are what the All-In-One is seeing directly from the transmission and that’s being sent to the ECM.

I’m using the 40ppr output, and have my Holley ECM set to the same. In troubleshooting the erratic speedo readings I went back to the Bowler unit to see where the problem is.

I talked to Craig this morning. There's an update to the All-In-One that he expects to correct the issue. Looking forward to giving it a go. Maybe tonight.

T56 has a 17 tooth reluctor. The t56 magnum has a 12 tooth so switch it to 12 ppr

I ended up needing a filter on the all-in-one to fix the issue.

I am using an auto meter gps adapter box with my t56. Very simple and elegant solution.

Why is this needed? Most Autometer speedometers are programmable and you set the speed by driving a pre-set distance and then it's all set.

Yes the Autometer speedo is programmable but it also still needs some sort of input to drive it. The GPS input module is more accurate and you can change rear end gears or tire size and it has no effect on the accuracy of the speedo. Plus using the GPS module eliminates the need to program the speedo. I'm using the GPS to drive my Autometer speedo as well and I can tell you it is amazingly accurate.

I'm using the Autometer speedo that uses the original output of the T-56. Easy to set and it too is really accurate.
