T56 magnum input shaft into pilot

How much of the input shaft should go into pilot bearing?

Are you using the CTSV bellhousing? I would double check which pilot bearing is used with that combination. Rockauto should have the answer with pictures. I'm guessing you need the large bearing that rides in the cavity further back towards the trans.

Yes I am using that bellhousing with stock zl1 clutch and throwout bearing, not sure of the pilot bearing but I know its the stock oem one was a 2015 zl1 with 11 miles on it.

I don't know 100%, but I suspect they are the same.

Does your pilot look like this?

The bearing should have full engagement on the trans snout IMHO. I have seen set-ups where the combination of the engine and the bellhousing didn’t allow this. The solution was either a extended bushing or the bearing wasn’t installed flush in the block. Maybe 1/8” protruding from flush.

Just found out from craig at Bowler that the tr6060 shaft is .50 longer then the t56 magnum shaft and they are not interchangeable.

yes that is the pilot bearing

I just mocked mine up without the flywheel/clutch to see how everything fit in the car, I noticed that very little of the shaft was inside pilot.
