      Hydraulic clutch master cylinder alignment

      Hi all ,

Working on installing my pedals and clutch master cylinder.
My clutch pedal is a bit of to the side and a bit lower ,causing the master cylinder rod to be connected in a slight angle.

      See photo's for better understanding.

Sideway play i can probably solve with adding a longer bolt into the pedal.
      Height difference is more tricky...
Difference in height and width is 0.5cm

Is this going to cause any problems?

It doesn't look terrible, but I would take the time to get it right. The straighter you can get that rod alignment the longer the M/C will last. They can withstand some misalignment, but it's always going to be putting pressure against one side of the piston more than the other and will accelerate the wear on that side of the seal. If at all possible I would drill another hole in the pedal to get the up/down alignment corrected, then space it out more if needed.

I had the same issue with my set-up. I used a longer bolt and spaced it out with washers to get it perfectly aligned. I agree it will work for a while...I went through 2 MCs before I fixed it. They will leak in short order if not aligned.

      Thanks!
Simple fix, so better do it to avoid extra costs in the future and this thing breaking down while on the street....
