      Ride Height

About ready to start looking for some new shoes. I don’t think the old centerlines will pass for pro-touring.

Intstalling a Aeromotive stealth fuel tank with Stealth In-tank fuel pump. New carb. Regulator. Should be much quieter than the old external fuel pump. Name: IMG_0045.JPG

Thanks. Looks like you have a nice build yourself. Good thing is you can aways upgrade. Will be completely drivable when I get it back in a few weeks so it will be interesting to see how it drives.

Pulled the trigger and put down a deposit on some new wheels. Going with an 18x9 in the front and 19x11 in the rear. Tires looking to put a 265 35 r18 in the front and 305 30 r19 out back. Need to measure and get the backspacing straight to make sure it will all work.

Think about going with a Gunmetal Center with Satin black Barrels.

Limited selection in 315 for a 19in wheel. Either a 305 or 325 is what is most available. I called Matt Classic Bowties because they were having a sale through the 4th. and inquired about what sale they were offering with Forgeline. Kim said if I knew what size and and type of wheel I wanted and could put down half and they could have the order sent to forgeline. I was able to get all the brake information since I already had the specs from Wilwood. They also have a fitment tool they lone out, so I am able to get the backspacing to them later once that tool becomes available and pick up some tires in the next week or two. Great customer service Kim MCB even return my call after hours.

Got the car home. Measuring final wheel fitment.

      Rears will be a 19x11 with a 6.25in backspace.

Fronts decided to reduce the tire size to a 245 35 R18 to be able to tuck the tire a bit for a little lower stance. Came out to a 5.25 backspacing.

Thanks to Matt’s Classic Bowties for the loaner wheel fitment tool.

Got the new Forgeline GX3 wheels in today. They are graphite with Satin Black. Hopefully, all my measurements were correct.

Test fitted the wheels today. Looks like the rears will clear perfectly. Will need to adjust the axel a little bit. 1in clearance on passenger side 9/16 on drivers side. I’m really liking how these turned out. Now need to check the fronts before we mount the tires.

Those look great. On the back though, I would cycle the suspension with the springs out and see how close the the rear wheel get to the tubs/chassis.

I will definitely take that advice. I need to pull the shocks out anyways to do some painting.

Everything fits great. I have a mild concern the front may hit the ridetech sway-bar arm. Lock to lock is fine no rubbing but if I crank the wheel hard it does just touch the wheel. I may just install a small bump stop so it doesn’t go too far just to be safe.

If you have R&P steering all you have to do is add a clip to limit the range.

I was having a problem finding long tube headers that would work. After trying a couple pairs of different headers I found Sanderson Mid-Length CC16 Headers fit great and cleared everything with no problems. I just test fitted but was able to install them from the top of the engine bay. Clears the z-bar with plenty of room.
