TAKING FLARES OFF on Original fenders

OK So got a question. What is the best way to remove fender flares off original 68 camaro front fenders? I am struggling with the most cost effective way to do this without buying original fenders for 1500 a piece or buying repop garbage that doesnt fit worth a damn.

Any suggestions? Body work is not my thing and I dont plan on doing it, just looking to see what other have done and the best way to go about it.

      Thanks in advance.

If the flares are functional there was a lot of metal removed that can’t be easily replaced. It would cost a lot of money to remove them. Best to find someone who wants some flared fenders. A couple guys on here were looking for some. Post them up in the classifieds.

TheJDMan and icemanrd in this thread may be interested. Yes, the title says 69 but they have 67/68.
