Rhino Hide Brake Line Coating

Installing brake line on new chassis. Went to parts house and picked up several different lengths to get the job done. Looking at the product tag, the lines are coated with a anti-rust coating called Rhino Hide. It's a PVC coating. My question is, can this coating be painted over or should I return them and get standard brake line. Thanks
