454 SS wheels and tire setup

Alright guys need some advice on wheel/tire setup. Truck is 1990 454SS that is mini tubbed with 4 link so I can run a pretty big tire in the back. Truck is toy/cruiser that I would like to AutoX.

      Has 498CI bbc on E85 makes ~600-650rwhp
T56 trans, 3.73 gears with an eaton trutrac

      Currently run
      17x8 with Nitto nt450 275/50r17 in front

17x11.5 and Toyo Proxes tq 345/40r17 in rear

Wheels are STEEL cragar 397s that I had widened. They are ridiculously heavy.

I want to go to something lighter but it's hard to find something in the right BP without getting something custom which is out of my price range.

I found some wheels I like from ESR but the widest I could get is 18x10 or 19x10.5. Should I get something else to keep the wider tire or does someone make a tire that will work with my power/weight levels on a 10" wheel?

If anyone has any input on a similar looking wheel please let me know.Name: Untitled-26.jpg

You may want to look at ForgeStar wheels. They are in the same price range as the ESR wheels above but offer up to 12" wide.

I currently run a 295/45/18 on 9.5" wheels with similar whp numbers on my 2000. I have been thinking of having the rears rehooped and running a wider tire out back but am having a hard time finding a 28.5-29" tall tire in a wider width. I haven't found much of anything in 18's wider than the 295 that are taller than 26ish inches. However, I am trying to stay with a 200+ treadwear tire for class rules. I believe there are more options if you are ok with a lower tw or competition tire. 19 & 20 inch seem to have more tall/wide performance tire options that have a decent weight rating (I presume we can thank the more portly modern pony cars for this).

Having the exact same problem. I've been considering going to a 19 or 20 on the rear but I want sure if I could find a tire that would work well with such a small sidewall.
