Bumper starting to come together and lower tailgate valance. Now time to work in exhaust and license plate into lower bumper. Looks too clean with no license plate and exhaust. That will all change... Also adding some weld-in tailgate anti-rattles that look good. #Hammerfab

Thanks for the feedback. The work is done by Hammer Fab in Liberty Hills, Texas. Best decision I have made in many years. I give feedback and what I want and these guys knock it out. This is way out of my skill set(unfortunately).

You definitely found the right shop to do your metalwork. They definitely have the right tools and skills to use them: that planishing hammer is humongous!! Using the silicone bronze rod to fill and smooth out the steel rod is a neat idea. Fabrication threads like these are my favorite because it is a great way to learn tips and tricks and come up with new ideas.

As far as the hood: Chevy emblem versus GMC vent….
Anyone who sees that GMC style grille will know that it is a GMC truck and wonder why there is a Chevy emblem above it. It would be like adding a Z28 emblem to a GTO.

The valve cover covers and supercharger extension were machined my EVOD. They make it all look seamless.
