th400 to lt4
Is a turbo 400 trans able to adapt to a lt4? My car has a th 400 and gear vendors in it now and thinkimg of going to lt4.

You will be missing some bolt holes but will have plenty to work and the dowel pins are the same. you are going to need a new flex plate with the old style converter bolt pattern. and you will need to come up with a hand made dust shield cause the turbo 400 will not bolt up to the LT4 oil pan. minor pain but will work.
Why not use the 8L90-E ??? direct fit 8 speed and engine braking.

Thanks for the info. Now that i retired i have to watch my penny's and the th400 and gv are in the car now.
