Can you wet sand Satin/Semi Gloss?

      Hello,

Let’s say I’m painting my car in a Satin Black or Semi Gloss Black and I end up with orange peel. Is it possible to get it out with wet sanding? Or will it turn into gloss black?

      Thank you

Nope. At least that is my understanding.

Once wet sanded it will look like a wet sanded surface.

BTW, if you need a satin black paint try John Deere Blitz Black. It is arguably the best satin black paint you can find for the money. As I recall it ran around $35/gal. I used to work at the parts counter of a John Deere dealer and we sold a LOT of Blitz Black and the majority of it was to car guys.

I just googled John Deere Blitz Black. Not a single tractor or tractor part came up. A bunch of hot rods did though.
