      T56 Magnum master cylinder

      Morning all,

      I'm working on my 68 C10 project. It's a LS1/T56 combo.

LS7 clutch, 2002 Camaro slave cylinder.

I bought a "Captain Fab" clutch pedal linkage kit with a Wilwood 3/4" bore master cylinder.

I haven't driven it yet but after bleeding and cycling the clutch pedal by hand it feels good.

With the Captain Fab linkage I have the pedal set up so it it's about 1/2" from the floor when it bottoms out in the master cylinder. Is it OK to bottom out in the master cylinder or should I adjust the linkage so the pedal stops when it hits the floor?

It is best to have a mechanical stop. Relying on the master can lead to pre-mature failure.

That's what I was kind of thinking. I need to get the carpet in and then check clutch disengagement then set the pedal linkage.

You can also just shorten the clutch MC rod that goes to the pedal and use the floor as a stop. But a solid stop is best.

Yep pedal needs to bottom out before the master. I prefer to bottom on the floor, pedal stops feel awkward to me as I am so used to pushing to the floor.

Thanks for the help. I will let you know what works. I'm thinking a bracket of some sort that bottoms out on the floor.

      Thanks again for the help.
