      Sure is a nice kit!
Only its a basic and for a cougar its a bit tricky to make it all work with the sequential tail lights.
And still figure out what to do with that pink cable...how to make it work with the MSD box, getting there though...

Spacing issues with the electrical fan.
Any idea's how to solve this?
Its a 3row radiator and as you can see i only have a around 5mm of extra space i can put it to the front, so that is not enough to clear the fan from the pulley.

In the picture the fan is next to the pulley but in reality it should be in front of it...
Cutting and welding is not an option to make it fit because it means i have to cut through the support frame of the car.

Only option i would see directly is putting the fan on the other side of the radiator and then reverse the rotation of the fan?
But i do not know if that is a good idea?....

This is how the fan/fan bracket sits when looking at the other pictures...should be centered

      Hi Andrew, thanks!
No these are Gibson MWA ( always looking for something different).
Was not sure what to expect from sound but i am liking it!

(3inch pipes probably make that deep sound also).

Some small updates, electrical system is almost completed, just need to fix the wiper washer motor en the power windows.
Once that is done, going to start on the interior, still waiting for parts...

Just a quick peak of the new wheels which i just fitted, bought them really cheap on a sale.
Wheels are from jegs, 17x8 size, tires are bridgestones 215/40/17 front, 225/45/17 rear
Should have gone with a 17X9 in the back to make it fit perfectly, but was not sure...will probably buy that size later on, still like the look!
Hard to get a picture from the side with all the tools behind me etc..

Did some fabricating on the instrument panel, gauges are from new vintage usa, really pleased by them.
Look modern but still simple like it was back then...
Panel has some tape around it because its a first try, will finish the real one with a chrome molding around the plate
Offcourse you will only see the panel where the screws are, rest is going to be surrounded by the dashboard.

Indicator are not from new vintage

Also installed a modern radio below the switches, not that clear in this picture.
But just to give you an idea, gauges are red light, switches are red lights and the radio to, like those red lights, pretty pimp!

I'm pretty sure you could have gone with wider tires. I wish there was more, concrete, fitment guidelines for Cougars. I have 225/55-16s on my Cougar now and I can for sure go wider in the back and maybe in the front as well.

I hear that, not at all simple to get information on a cougar when it comes to putting non standard stuff on it....just not a big protouring fanbase on this car it seems...
As said for the wheels/tires, will go bigger next year most likely....still liking the look.
Gonna focus on getting this thing out for a test drive in a few weeks, just need to measure the lenght for the driveshaft and order it, delivery will take a few weeks...

Wow you've been making awesome progress! Congrats on having it running. Not too much longer and you'll be driving around.

What all was done to the motor? I know it's a stroker with heads and a decent sounding cam.

Long time overdue...jobs abroad keep this thing from getting finished.

      Some small updates though.
Interior is almost finished from the upholstery shop.
Door panels will be finished somewhere next month.

Dashboard and rear seats are done.

Will take a better picture later from the dashboard

Just need to make a bracket for the front seats now and the interior can be installed.

Was planning on making a custom center console but just found the original back and
will use this one, just get in upholstered again with some custom touch to it.

      All led light bulbs.
Like the indicators on the dash!
Electrical is almost finished, just need to connect the horn and the temperature sensor.

Front panels are finished, back panels will be done next month.

This was the sketch we came up with:

      This was during the construction
Bought this flat panels and frames "new" from west coast classic cougar and the guy from upholstery is using his magic to give it some form
(Sold the old panels for 500dollars, some stuff for a cougar is rare and expensive!)

And this is the result, guy has a crappy camera so you don't really see the details at the moment...just blurry black and brown...but you get an idea this way
Will get them next week and get a decent picture.
Need to paint the door handle black in my opinion now...

Most things are working but struggling with the engine, running rough at idle...
and currently not enough buildup of pressure on the throwout bearing from the transmission.

When bleeding no air comes out but need to get the pedal completely to the end to get it in first and that is a struggle...
Going in reverse is not working, just cracking sounds when pedal is pressed down completely.
Not sure what is wrong there but will start a different topic on that.

I moved the radiator forward by making the opening bigger.. some people just lean it forward.. i ended building a custom radiator support.Name: 46492186_10155970660858424_8949694624809615360_o.jpg

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Did you fab the entire fender support panel or just blend in a shock tower eliminator panel?
