      69 camaro dashpad help!!!

I need a dashpad and I want to cover it with leather, what's the best way to go? Find a used dash or a new one? Condition doesn't matter since I'm re covering it.Any help is really appreciated.

I've not done this so I'm just offering a thought. Given the dash will be in the hot sun and the leather will be stretched tightly across the dash pad, any cracks or defects in an old used pad will probably show through the leather and defects may make it more difficult for even a professional upholstery shop to cover it properly. Unless you can find a used pad in excellent shape, I'd go with a new one. I may be way off base so you might talk to an upholstery shop to see what they suggest.

Just get the NEW more expensive OER (I believe $365) dash pad and use that one ... Its the best quality, fit and its stiff making it much easier to cover

      Cheers
