      That is very cool I was thinking about trying to build something like that out of plastic for 2nd gen firebird.
      1973 Firebird 466 Pontiac, T56, C5 Brakes, PTFB and Hotchkis suspension
      2011 Camaro SS Supercharged, ZL1 body and brakes, Z28 suspension.

      Love my new mount Kit

      Some photos of my install of the mount kit I purchased here, I made a few changes hope you like, I painted and added the chrome strip for that 67 factory look....

      Local Hobby store, I used a K&S Precision metals #8100 Round tube and formed to shape, it bends very easy, and then applied a very amount of super glue on the tube, I placed it just to the outside edge and on top of the bracket.

      I think if he makes a double din either the top is going back in 2 inches or the bottom is sticking out 2 inches (pythagorean theorem), if he pushes the top back 2 inches the back of the radio is going to hit the firewall, and if the bottom comes out 2 inches its going to look very strange.
