Rosie 2 my try at a PT chevelle

Hello , my name is Kris , I've drag raced for 30 years, but I got tired of NHRA crap and hung it up years ago. To do something with my time I decided to try and build a PT car. I bought a 67 chevelle ss that had most of the body work done. My plans are to build a 416 LS motor with whipple supercharge and a 4l80e transmission. I will be building and doing most of the body work myself. The first picture is of Rosie 1, I hope this PT car comes out half as good as Rosie did. Sorry about some of pics, I havent figured out how to turn them or make all same size.

here is some pics of the frame work, boxed and rewelded complete frame, I did not realize when I bought the fab 9 that the upper control arm mounts would be 3 inches higher than stock, which totally messed up rear geometry , so to fix it I ended up making it a 4 link, the lowest hole location is the factory hole

Due to the amount of money that it takes to build one of these cars, on the rear mini tub instead of buy a kit I just made my own, the piece that was cut off the left outside was reinstalled on the right inside, they actually fit very good. Where I a added the extra 2x2 to make a double frame rail I also made it possible to run wiring and fuel lines to keep it out of sight. Because I made the upper control arm mounts adjustable the stiffeners that I had bought from UMI would not work, so I made my own stiffener out of 2x2 but I had to curve it to fit under the floor.

Here is some pics of the headers I built. They are stainless 1 7/8 stepped to 2 inch primaries with a 3.5 merge collecter.

excellent chassis fab. looks almost as nice as a Chassis Works or Schwartz complete system. i imagine this saved some $ even if you count all your time. should handle and accelerate very well. when do you expect to complete? if these projects take several years to complete, many give up and sell incomplete, losing a lot of $.
