Really cool stuff, that's nice work for sure. I recently bought a pretty sweet Ford 9" setup with ridetech mounts from Scott Mock. No idea who he is, nice guy though. I think he was going to try to fab up an IRS or something.

Last week I got my freshly ported AFR heads, Holley intake, and custom solid roller cam from Straub Technologies.

The short block has been together for a while but it consists of a Brodix aluminum block, a Scat lightweight 4340 crank, Scat 4340 6.535" H-beam rods, Diamond pistons with ceramic coating on top and DFL on the skirts. The rod and main bearings are also coated with DFL. ARP main and head studs finish it off.

A couple of pics of these beautiful pistons.

The full short block ready to go.

The AFR 305 heads that are now so much more.

      Exhaust port.

The intake system is this Holley HP EFI.

Fortunately I sent the intake along with the heads to be port matched... and the ports were off to one side enough that they required epoxy to bring them back in line.

      Here it is mocked up.

I'm waiting for a few more parts to arrive and then it's on to actual assembly time.

      That's a sexy big block.

      Have expectations on final output?

      Nice combination, Herb.

      I'd say 700hp...

Thanks guys. The goal was 800 hp at the flywheel and Straub feels we'll achieve that goal, maybe even exceed it a little. We'll see what the dyno says.

lol, this was my first thought!

Builds like this really showcase what amazing things can be done with a lot of skill and vision, thanks for posting those killer pics.

I just completed my 3-link conversion, designed and fabbed from knowledge gathered on this sight. I'm real curious how your third link will mount to the frame. good luck with the rest, I'll be checking for updates every hour or so from work, lol.

I appreciate the positive comments! I've never done chassis mods this extensive before, but I'm trying my best!

The vertical tube that the 3rd link attaches to will be tied into the harness bar on the cage.
