Box of wood came from Fed Ex today...
When it comes to wood, I'm.... less than skilled shall we say.

Interior slowly taking shape. Parts and pieces getting bolted in.

      The list is getting short...

      Install wood bed
Install side glass and align doors
      Make some tailpipe hangars
      Paint under the hood

No fault of No Limits, they got a bad batch of bushings from Energy Suspension. They sent me some upgraded delrin ones for the lower control arms which I installed. No-one makes delrin for the uppers so I decided to make my own instead of replacing with polyurethane.

      Bam.

Got 250 miles on it now. Runs amazing.
Transmission needs some tuning... Shifts way too early. Still smokes the tires through 3rd gear
      No leaks anywhere.
The No Limit suspension is unreal. I still cant believe I'm driving a 60 year old truck. It rides like a brand new car and hugs the road like a race car!
Still need to install the bed and finish building up the doors.

Nice build and that looks like a very nice 67 Camaro also. Just wondering where did you get the tubs that you used in your bed?

Thanks. I've had that since I was 16.

The wheel tubs are made by Dan Carpenter Specialties.

Think I screwed up on the Holley EFI tune (a bit too lean) and maybe a little too much timing. It survived a dozen pulls on the dyno with no issue with a carburetor, and no pinging. No other signs of any harm thankfully.

I'm actually going to take the opportunity to re-cam the motor and tame it down. All along I just wanted a mellow cruiser and it was a bit more radical than I was hoping. MTS is sending me a cam this week...

Pretty confident. The block was decked and the heads were milled.
Pretty sure detonation is the cause, My tuneup was a bit too lean.
I had the vacuum advance hooked up to ported. It may have added a couple degrees at WOT I’m afraid also.

Do you have the sniper controlling timing? It was a pain to setup but I think it might help with consistent timing.

Just a GM HEI. To run use the Sniper for timing I would need a new distributor.

Im not familiar with that distributor but I have a MSD ready to run distributor that i modified to use the magnetic pickup as a crank position sensor. Seems to work well. I made my own lockout plate and eliminated the pcb. Might be even easier with that distributor.
