October 7-8, 2017 blackhawk farms raceway (rockton, il) double day hpde/hsax

This coming weekend of Sat/Sun Oct 7-8, 2017, the will be a double-day HPDE/HSAX season ending championship event of the Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs (www.mcscc.org) held at BLACKHAWK FARMS RACEWAY. Rockton, IL (just NW of Rockford, IL, about 90 miles W/NW of Chicago). Sat and Sun mornings will be HPDE (lapping sessions, approx three 20 minute sessions each, per group -- beginners, intermediate, advanced). Sat and Sun afternoons will have the single-car HSAX competition runs.

BLACKHAWK FARMS RACEWAY is a beautiful 2-mile winding country road course. Updated nice/clean covered cafe, clean restrooms, paved pit-paddock roads, multiple viewing grandstands, tree-shaded viewing areas. Spectators are FREE (simply sign-in at the front entry gate).

Sunday's HSAX event includes over $3,000 cash awards for FTD ($1,000 WINNER) and CONSISTENCY TIMES.. SO, you don't have to be the fastest car in your class, but, the most CONSISTENT TIMED LAPS can get you cash awards!

I'm the co-chairman of this weekend's event. See more info at www.motorsportReg.com (look up MCSCC Oct 7-8, 2017); or see www.nsscc.org for quick flyer). HPDE/HSAX entries still accepted at the gate but ... you must register early (gates open at 7:00 AM each day) Track events start by 8:30 AM (safety tech inspection required, Snell 2010 or newer helmets for HPDE/HSAX req'd); air-hose and race fuel at the track if needed (see course map on web info). Also, free lunch-time track touring each day at moderate speeds (no helmets req'd)... pending day's time allowance -- usually A-OK -- and weather permitting.

Bring you pro-touring car or whatever... guaranteed you'll have a blast! We'll help you with appropriate classifications and we have experienced driving instructors to ride with you.

Hope see some of you! I'll be the main "announcer" up in the race tower for the wknd.
