      Can bus integration

This seems like an interesting integration of newer technology into an older vehicle.

Very nice. I'd love to have something like that to offer customers in an open source environment.

Most systems are able to use CAN. Even basic Megasquirt systems have CAN High/Low wires so you can start integrating additional I/O's.

Very cool to say the least.

CAN is very easy to hack. I created my own canbus network with obd2 port for my 69 Firebird with a SBC. I can read my sensors using a elm327 bluetooth converter and a tablet. Basically I have my DAC system connected to a Arduino MEGA with a seedstudio canbus shield. The DAC system is connect to the mega via RS232.
