      Manifold cleaned up.

      Butterfly valves can fully open now;

      Grabbed a cheap air cleaner for the time being.

      My gas tank came in, but I was mandated to work on my day off. I'll post pictures of it later.

      These cars really are quite simple to take apart and put back together, just like the model cars of our youth. But MAN does it take way more time!!! haha

      It all looks so easy, makes me think "I could tear it apart in a weekend and clean my engine up real nice like this". Then I have to remind myself, that it would probably take me weeks if not a month or 2 to get it all back together!

      After a long work weekend and taking it easy yesterday, I tackled my EFI fuel tank. Following the easy to follow instructions, I measured, cut and assembled the fuel pump and return along with the fuel sending unit. Tank was 6 3/8" deep, mid point for the rheostat was 3 5/16". Everything checked out, fuel pump sits nicely in the built in reservoir. I used PTFE thread sealant on all the mounting screws. The tank mocked up easily. I used some peel and stick roofing seal as my anti squeak strips on the tank and straps. I plan on using a C5 filter/regulator when I run the fuel lines. Turns out the FiTech calls for 58 psi so that works out well.

      Been a while, not much done. Tidied up some firewall issues, a little more prep work to be done before the subframe gets bolted back on. I decided to go with a gas strut instead of the torsion bars. Welds could have been a lot prettier but it will hold. I'll dress that up later.

      replace the fuel level sender with a tubed design by ricks hot rods. You will hate that floater and how inaccurate it is.

      Plumbed my -6AN braided fuel lines. Had some left over 3/4" pex crimps and they worked perfect. I used heat shrink tubing over the crimp ring. I have isolation straps to hold the line in place, will tackle that tomorrow. I plan on getting Pypes SGF70 transverse exhaust so I grabbed some nomex sleeve to shield to lines from the tank to the Wix 33737 Corvette fuel filter/regulator. I decided to route it on the driver side given how the Pypes cross flow is routed. I tucked the filter up on the back frame rail, happy with how it turned out. I may weld in a rivnut to bolt the filter into for peace of mind.

      I really think you should see if you can put the Ram Air setup on that Fi-Tech. There is a guy that sells the correct stamped pans on http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com site fairly cheep. I think my setup was under $400.

      It's possible and on my punch out list. Kind of low on the priority list, low performance gain but definitely tons of cool points. I'd have to run a banjo bolt on the supply to clear the ram air pan. A few guys have run them on second gen shaker hood setups with no issues. Wish my budget was as plentiful as my ideas for this car...

      Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. Right now the exhaust, shifter and center console are breaking the bank.

      You might want to swap those fuel clips on the WIX for these

      Those clips WILL FAIL. It has been discussed many times here and everywhere. This happened to a friend and his nova, here

      Keep up the good work though!

      Thanks for the heads up, I'll have those coming with my next parts order. I have the factory clips on my LT4/T56 S10 as I used the stock plastic fuel lines off of a 4th gen Camaro. I bought new inserts every time I've disconnected the fuel lines and haven't had an issue in 6 years of daily driving but those are all GM factory parts. $35 is well worth the peace of mind knowing my rear disc brakes aren't going to get a gasoline shower.

      Thanks again!
