Here are some pictures i had taken. It is a little rough but I'm sure a person could make it even better with some time with a hammer and dolly. I wanted to preserve that original paint as much as possible and think it matches the look of the truck.

I like how you turned the lip "inside out" without destroying the patina, love how the truck is turning out... I've driven an 02 Crown Vic, car worked very well for it's size, it's cool seeing these making a low buck platform for the trucks.

So no updates. My wife is expecting our second child so I gave up the garage for the winter so she could park the van inside. Took this picture when we got a big frost at the start of winter, kind of cool. Its since been tarped and covered up. Waiting on spring!

Hey was going to work on some custom tail light and would like a set of the aluminum trim rings that go around them. Does anyyone have a set they'd want to sell? Condition doesn't really matter.

Look on some of the Facebook pages for the f100 or Craigslist.

Bit more time, spring cleaning the garage and then pie-cut, bent down and welded the rear of the frame so it's not sticking way up. I plated the inside of the frame should I plate the outside too or will the one plate be plenty?

My little buddy posed for a pic, he loves the truck!

We recently had another baby boy so not a lot happening with the truck right now. Doing a little under hood wiring but that's hard to show in pics.

Also a friend gave me an amazing deal on this car. Runs and drives big 455 under the hood. Basically the exact opposite of pro touring but perfect just as is. Feels like your sitting on your couch on a cloud riding down the highway and can fits 4 guys with 4 sets of golf clubs in the trunk! Had been sitting on the farm for a few years so spent some time cleaning it out and putting new carpet in. Good cruiser for now back to working on the truck soon!

So it's been a while since I did an update. Been a busy summer! I have had a few days to work on the truck and this is what I've got done lately. Painted the engine cover to match and wired up some of the engine bay. Still a lot of cleanup to do but it's useable.
Cut down the front of the box by 14" and tacked it together. Still have to do the back.
Was hoping to finish cutting the box down today but it was raining so made up some mounts for the cheapo racing buckets I picked up.

That's it for now progress has been slow. Hopefully next update will be me mounting the box on the frame.

Well the box isn't fully mounted still needs some tweaking before it's mounted for good. But it's pretty cool to finally see it on the truck.
I cut the back half of the box down 10". To make a standard short box you normally cut the back down 4" but to me the F100 short box looks a little long behind the wheel compared to a chevy. So I cut an extra 6" out making it a 6' box instead of a 6'6". Not everyone will like it but I like the proportions better.

So the bed is officially mounted. I used 4 of the stock body mounts, I still have to make the final rear mounts but it's solid for now. Shown in the pics I made square boxes that sat on top of the mount. This allowed me to move the box up and down to get it aligned perfectly with the cab. It is still just tacked until I get the back mounts done and then I'll weld it solid and probably cut the top extra length off.
You can also see in the one picture how much I had to stretch the rear fenders to fit those big tires. I think it fits the attitude of this truck pretty good.

Looking great! I dig the proportions with the extra cut out of the bed.
