      53 F250 Frame Swap!

      Here we go again.
This truck is from Iowa but I actually bought it from about 2 miles from my house.
The guy bought it in 2001 with the intention to restore it but it never happened and it sat in his driveway.
On the family dog walk we knocked on and the rest is history!

I don't know which frame yet but I think either Explorer or a post 98 Ranger.

I want to use the floor & firewall out of the donor. The Vic is too wide to do that.

I'm gonna head to the yard with a tape measure in the next couple of days but I think that an Explorer or Ranger will be in the ball park.

Love your builds, your f100 builds gave me some inspiration for mine. Also very interested in what you use for a donor and this build. My wife likes these old trucks but she would want it to drive like a modern one

My ultimate goal is to make one of these for my wife as well, but yeah...she definitely wouldn't put up with any "old" inconveniences!

Did you check the inertia switch? They can get tripped by a small amount of violence to the car. For good info on Exploder transplants, check the Classic Broncos site--search for EFI Guy.

Yeah I checked the switch, it wasn't tripped. I pulled the fuel pump connector & it has 12 volts feeding it so I'm gonna swap it out with a Crown Vic pump I have on the shelf.
