      Change Steering Wheels

      Hey folks,

I bought a 70 Nova SS, mostly restored, with a corny Grant steering wheel:

I'm looking at changing it to something else. Possibly...

Is the changeover pretty straightforward? Any issues to be aware of before diving in?

      Many thanks!

Should be straight forward. You will require another steering wheel hub that they sell on the DSE site.

Decided to shift gears a little bit and would like to go with a Sparco wheel. Sparco has informed me that they do not have a hub that could work with my Nova, even though they have a hub part number listed in their accessories as, "STRWL HUB CHEVY 68>82". I asked if that one would fit a first gen F-body, assuming the steering columns between my '70 Nova and a '68-'69 Nova are identical, and they didn't know. (Which I thought was odd.)

Does anyone know if the Sparco hub will work with my Nova steering column? Far fetched question, will the Grant hub work with the Sparco wheel, or no because the Sparco wheel is a 6 bolt vs. Grant 5 bolt?

      TIA!

My best guess would be that the part you listed 68-82 would work. Momo has one hub that works for 69-82, I'm pretty sure Sparco is similar. I would buy the Sparco HUB

The first one is supposedly for "Chevy Car". Would someone please confirm that's the correct one for my Nova column?

      Many thanks!

Thanks for the input... The Sparco instructions were horrendous, but I figured it out... Also, would be happy to hear how to change the orientation of an uploaded pic...

Anyone know the bolt spacing for the DSE wheel? I currently have a hub with a different wheel, would like to just swap the wheel.
