Singer 911 Style Woven Leather $25/sqft

I bought a large quantity of this leather back when I was thinking of using it on all of my projects but have finally narrowed it down to just using it on my '70 Challenger. The source I bought it from declared it to be Italian leather but I have no means to back up that claim other than it is very supple and soft. I love the Singer 911 interiors and contacted Spinney Beck (Singer's supplier) about their woven leather and it was quite frankly out of budget at $55+ a square foot with a minimum $1300 order. I purchased a small sample and compared it to the swatches I received from Spinney Beck and they are of very similar quality and construction. The one exception is that I've had it dyed black from it's original state of a red, blue, and green cross pattern, which means if the leather is deeply scratched it will show the original dye colors. If you're interested in the original pattern, I have some that I haven't gotten around to dyeing yet. I've spent all summer testing my own sample to see if the dye bleeds, wears down, or transfers to clothing and it does not. If you're looking to do a pair of seat centers like Singer on something about the size of a standard E30 recaro seat you will need 17 sqft, which comes out to $425. As always ask any questions and I'll reply as promptly as possible. Thanks for your time and I wish you the best of luck with your project!
