      Q-Jet fuel leak help.

Both before and after i rebuilt it my Q-Jet has been leaking fuel from a vacuum port on the front and center of the carb. I'm at work right now so I'll post a picture later, but if anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know what's going on and how to fix this.

Has the float been set correctly?

If you have built a return style fuel system, make sure you haven't used the vapor line on the gas tank. It's is not a return and won't allow fuel to flow back.

It's not a return style setup. I'll double check the float but it doesn't run like it's rich or floods out, it's just a very slow drip from that one port.

What's your fuel pressure? Anything above 3-4psi and you're asking for trouble.

How old a Q-jet? Did you seal the main wells with marine epoxy/JB Weld?

The float is working properly. I don't know what my pressure is at but the engine has an oem fuel pump on the block so I don't think it's exceeding what the carb needs.

It's off of some mid-seventies Chevrolet according to the number stamped on the side and it's from Jet Performance if that helps. I don't know what stage it is. I did not seal the main wells as I didn't even know that was necessary. What's the purpose of sealing them? Just for this kind of leak?

Those plugs in the smaller angled channels also need sealed.
